A BLANK CHEQUE

Religion has cheated many and deceived them to thinking they’d have to ask for their needs! Paul said, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). Paul wasn’t making a promise to the Church on God’s behalf; he had come to know God’s ways of doing things: He supplies not just some but ALL our needs! Therefore, when you recognize a need, you don’t need to pray, “Oh God, I need such-and-such”; just declare that you have it in the Name of Jesus. As the seed of Abraham, you deserve to have the best things in life; there’s no reason for you to be in lack or to envy others over what they have. You can have anything you want. Nothing is too good for you. Be bold to ask what you want in His Name, and receive, that your joy may be full (John 16:24).

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it (John 14:13-14).

Only someone with unlimited power could make a statement such as the one above. Jesus said, if you ask anything in His Name, He’d do it; irrespective of what it is! As long as it’s something that’s good for you and good for God, you can ask and it’ll be granted you. In Jeremiah 32:27 the Lord said, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” He’s the Big Boss; He owns everything; and He’s saying to you today: “Ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.” Some people say, “We should never ask God for the things we want; God only grants our needs, not our wants.” But the Lord says, “…if ye shall ask anything.” This certainly doesn’t refer to asking for “your needs.” In fact, you’re not supposed to ask for your needs because they’re already catered for by your heavenly Father. The Bible says He’s the One who takes care of the sparrows, and the lilies of the field. If He would cater for the birds and flowers, how much more will He take care of you, His beloved child (read Matthew 6:31-32 AMP).

What do you want today? God has given you a blank cheque today; what are you going to do with it?

Thinking

Say this to yourself: The Lord is my Shepherd, therefore I do not lack. I’m walking in the light of my prosperity today, for I’m the seed of Abraham; I have access to wealth untold; I’m supply conscious! I have all my needs met, because I’m plugged to God’s unending supply.

Accept What He’s Already Given You

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).

This is one of those “shouting verses” in the Bible; you couldn’t read this and not be exuberant with praise to God. Think about it: there’s nothing He hasn’t made available to you in Christ Jesus. Everything you need to live triumphantly—in dominion, excellence, and righteousness—has already been given to you in Christ Jesus. The question then is, have you accepted what He has given you? It’s one thing for God to give you all things, but it’s another thing for you to accept what He’s already given you, and act accordingly. Having heard that His divine power has given you all things that pertain to life and godliness, you ought to talk and live as one who knows he’s got all things. God didn’t make a promise to give you all things; He already gave you all things. So talk like you own the world, for you do. 1 Corinthians 3:21 says, “…all things are yours…”; have that consciousness; refuse to let anyone or circumstances make you think, talk or act otherwise. Study the Word to know all that God has given you. For example, 1John 5:11-12 tells us, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” This means God has given us His type of life: the victorious life that’s not subject to Satan, disease, sickness, failure or defeat! No wonder in the very next verse the Apostle John exclaimed: “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God” (1 John 5:13). Philemon 1:6 teaches that the communication of your faith becomes effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing, which is in you in Christ Jesus. Therefore, be bold to affirm, proclaim and rejoice about all that God has given to you in Christ Jesus: sing, dance, and shout about it!

Say this to yourself: I’m who God says I am, and I have what He says I have. I’m an heir of the Sovereign, and I’m reigning as a king in life. Eternal life is my present-hour possession! Yes! the victorious life is mine; I live above sickness, disease, poverty, failure, and death, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
